Eeeek! I just realized I haven't done a post all year and we are nearly half way through! I don't really have any excuses but we did buy a house December last year and it took a while to get my bench set up....but I have made a few things lately. Here are some pics.

I am a sucker for art prints. I have so many but most of them are sitting in tubes waiting to be framed! I decided not long ago if I was going to buy any more I could only get originals. I was admiring Christina Gordon's new prints on jamfancy the other day and then a few days later my mum said she had bought me an original!

This is it.

About a month ago I got married. It was nothing too fancy, just a simple ceremony at the registry office and then a party at a bar that night. I have always liked the idea of making each others wedding bands and so I taught Bevan how to make mine and I made his. We started with a practice one in silver.

Being able to hold a file takes a bit of getting used to so once he got the hang of it we moved onto the real thing.

I've decided I'm not very good at having a blog. I think it's mainly because I don't have a good camera and also I am good at forgetting to take pics altogether. Luckily I have a birthday coming up so might be able to score a new one and then hopefully come June, I'll be posting lots!

So, here is some of my most recent work. This ring was one made for Carly who had some gorgeous Australia sapphires her Uncle had mined and cut himself.

It was a few months ago now but my mum always likes handmade presents so this year I made her a pendant to add to our head charms. It was based on a design she had described and she really liked it so i think I will make more. I think they could be nice with a couple of stones set in them also.

A few years ago I made my mum a charm of a generic boy and girl silhouette for each of us kids with our names and birth dates hand engraved on them. She wears them everyday and even though they are all scratched they still look great! Recently I made another set for Kate. This time though she gave me a photo of her children's side profiles which I could use rather than the generic one.

You might already know her but Geneine Honey is the creator of Love, a super cute jewellery and fashion label. She has 2 stores, Little Salon, in Melbourne. Here are a couple of samples I made for her using her own design for her Sterling Silver jewellery line. These pieces are available to buy online from Love by Geneine Honey.

I have been meaning to start this blog for a while! Most of the time when I make something I forget to take a picture of the final piece but here's a few photos of the pieces I have remembered too! Some are recent and some are really old!
